Hotel Castro sits on Sinaloa street, right in the heart of Mexico City's Roma Norte — one of the liveliest and most charming neighbourhoods in the capital. Its strong suit is the location: Insurgentes metro station is just a few minutes away on foot, and the Angel of Independence, on Paseo de la Reforma, is within an easy stroll.
It's a comfortable, well-connected choice for anyone travelling for leisure or business who wants to explore the city on foot and by public transport. The rooms come with a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a hairdryer, free toiletries and a flat-screen TV; there are room types for couples and for groups of up to four.
The hotel runs around the clock, with a 24-hour front desk, room service, a lift and free Wi-Fi throughout the building. It also has free private parking — genuinely useful and rather rare in such a central area. Please note that payment at the property is accepted in cash only.

Hotel Castro offers two room types built for different needs: a Deluxe Room with an extra-large double bed, ideal for couples or travellers after a bit of comfort, and a Double Room with two beds that works well for families or groups of friends travelling together and sleeps up to four.
Every room shares the same essentials — a private bathroom with a bath or shower, free toiletries, toilet paper, a hairdryer, a flat-screen TV and a telephone, with lift access to the upper floors. The differences come down mainly to the bed setup and capacity: from the comfort of the Deluxe's extra-large bed, for two, to the two beds of the Double, which sleeps up to four. In both cases these are simple, well-kept spaces geared towards resting after a day out in the city.

Hotel Castro brings together the essentials for a comfortable, hassle-free stay in the heart of Roma Norte. The front desk is staffed around the clock, with room service, while the whole building has a lift to the upper floors and free Wi-Fi available in every corner of the property.
One of its standout features is the free private parking within the hotel itself, with no need to book — an extra that's hard to come by in such a sought-after area and a real bonus if you're driving. The rooms, all non-smoking, come with a private bathroom with a bath or shower, free toiletries, toilet paper, a hairdryer, a flat-screen TV and a telephone. With this set of comforts, the hotel is geared towards travellers looking for a functional, well-connected base from which to discover Mexico City.
Hotel Castro is on Sinaloa street, in Colonia Roma Norte, within the Cuauhtémoc borough. Roma is one of Mexico City's best-loved neighbourhoods: laid out on an orderly grid with leafy, European-feeling streets, today it's a hotbed of speciality coffee shops, bookshops, galleries and restaurants. Connections are excellent: Insurgentes metro station (Line 1) is about 350 metres away and Sevilla station some 600, so you can cross the city without depending on a car.
On foot, some of the capital's great landmarks are an easy walk away. The Angel of Independence, on Paseo de la Reforma, is less than a kilometre off, and the Glorieta de los Insurgentes — with its bustle and its bars — is just around the corner. A little further on lies the Bosque de Chapultepec, home to the Castle and the National Museum of Anthropology, two must-sees that open Tuesday to Sunday. Really, the best thing to do is simply wander the streets of Roma and neighbouring Condesa.
The best times to visit are spring and autumn, with mild weather and clear skies, while summer brings afternoon rain. Roma Norte is a safe, busy area at any hour, though the usual common sense applies: after dark, stick to the main, well-lit streets. One further plus of this hotel: Benito Juárez International Airport is around 11 kilometres away, roughly 15 minutes by car.
